The Kiddobash party guide
Kids’ birthday invitation wording and examples
A kids’ birthday invitation should say who the party is for, when and where it happens, and how to RSVP. Add any details parents need before replying, such as whether siblings are invited or an adult should stay. Start with an example below and replace the words in brackets.
What to include on the invitation
- Your child’s name and the birthday being celebrated.
- The day, date, start time, and end time.
- The venue name and full address, including a room or entrance if needed.
- An RSVP deadline and a link or contact for replying.
- Whether parents should stay, and whether siblings are included.
- What to bring, food plans, and a way to share dietary needs.
Choose an RSVP deadline that leaves enough time to confirm your headcount with the venue and order food. Put the essential details in the invitation itself so parents can find them again.

How to word RSVPs and party details
Ask for a clear reply
“Please let us know by [date] whether you can join us: [RSVP link]. Let us know about any dietary needs when you reply.”
Explain who is invited
“An adult should stay for the party.” Or: “Siblings are welcome; please tell us how many children will attend.” If space is limited: “We have a place reserved for [guest name]; unfortunately we can’t accommodate siblings this time.”
Send a friendly reminder
“Hi! We’re confirming numbers for [name]’s birthday and would love to know if you can make it. Please RSVP by [date]: [RSVP link]. Thank you!”
Make gifts optional
“Your company is the best birthday gift—no presents needed.” Keep it short so the invitation’s date, location, and RSVP details stay easy to spot.
